What to Expect From Your First Session

During the first intake session, I will review your completed paperwork for concerns, history, and counseling experiences to determine the techniques/approaches that have worked best for you. We will also identify your goals for therapy and gauge its effectivity in a given timetable. Using this information, I can reassess your current condition and finally proceed with the therapy sessions, working on the things you want addressed.

I will ask questions like, “What areas in your life need to be changed to find personal fulfillment and balance?” and, “How do you see that occurring?” After that, we will create a plan together to achieve your unique goals. We will begin implementing this during the second therapy session.

At the end of the initial consultation, I will give you a general idea of how many sessions are needed for your personal program. You can also take this opportunity to schedule future appointments.
